Before I opened my eyes, Barbara heard me say "grits."  I kept saying it after I was awake.  My "grits" sort of sounds like my "socks", but she knew what I meant.  Lately I have been ready to eat as soon as I wake up.  I eat my breakfast and generally part of Mommy and Barbara's too.
I slept well and only had trouble with breathing during the last of my sleep.  I felt good today but still had a runny nose most of the day.  We use a white cloth diaper to wipe my nose.  It works much better than Puffs do.  I am very good about letting my nose be wiped.
I like to use crayons.  I cover all parts of a piece of paper with colors.  When Mommy or Barbara write my name on the page I know it says "MASON."
I know that P is the letter for PaPa.  M is for Mommy.  D is for Daddy.  B is for Barbara.
Barbara and I rode with Grandma downtown to run an errand.  I fell asleep ten minutes into the trip, which is no surprise.   Since they were driving right by Mimz home, they stopped there to give me to Mimz.  I woke up getting out of the car and did not go back to sleep.  Mimz had spent the day working on a spreadsheet for her ALS organization.  Hope she got most of it finished before I got there because I am not good at sharing her attention.
Mimz said I woke up seeming to not be feeling very well, but I wanted to eat.  So we had cereal and fruit cup.  I watched some TV but still did not fall asleep.  Mimz tried to get me to go outside to play but I did not want to, which is very unusual for me.
I noticed a box of Jiffy corn muffin mix and had to have some so Mimz fixed it for me and I loved eating the hot muffins with butter and honey.  After that I was feeling pretty good and went off to play in my room.
Daddy is going to purchase a humidifier for my room to see if that will help me sleep better.

I did not go to school today because after waking up my nose ran constantly for almost an hour and I either did not feel well or was unhappy.  That did not keep me from eating.  I always seem to have an appetite.

I did sit in my little chair with my friends around me for some quiet reading time.
By 10am I was back to normal.

In this picture I was sitting quietly watching Caillou.  When the show was over, I took some baby wipes and cleaned everything in living room.  A funny thing I do is wad the wipe into a tiny ball to then start cleaning.
I playe in the backyard.  I am so glad we have mild winters so I can play outside most days.
I always enjoy playing in the bathtub.
I was sleeping when Barbara took this picture of my little hands.
I said my first two word sentence today:  Mommy poop!  (Mommy said I could not write this in my blog at first, later she decided it didn't matter.)
A funny story:  I enjoyed wearing Morgan's boots even though they were too big for me.  When she had the opportunity Barbara put them in a sack and put them on the front seat of her car to hide them from me and to have them ready to return to Mimz.  She forgot they were there when she let me get in her car to "drive."   Well, of course, I found them.  I took off my sneakers and put on the boots, got out of the car, and came in the house to show Mommy and Barbara.  (The car was in a close garage with the door into the house open.)  I was so very happy.
Oh My!

Harper, Hudson, Beckett, Landry, and me having a blast!
From the big boys I learned  "Down, Set, and Hut."  I have practiced doing that at home.
More of the same fun!
In San Antonio my family went to the River Walk to see the Christmas lights...
... and they stopped at St. Mary's Catholic Church where Andy and Kristan were married August 20th.

Me playing on Morgan's trampoline.  What fun!

I had a pair of cowboy boots when I was a baby that I really liked to wear.  Well, I got to wear Morgan's old cowboy boots this weekend and I love wearing them even though they are way too big.
Mimz knew I would like to have my own boots so she took me to the shoe store.  I wanted my own boots but I was insistant that I was not going to take off Morgan's boots.  I threw a real "terrible two's tantram."  Mimz did buy me some boots (without me trying them on) but she will take them back to get a smaller size.  She also bought me a cowboy hat.  Everyone says I look adorable in it.

Happy Turkey Day!  I am thankful for my family and my life.
We had a wonderful day with  Uncle Scott and Aunt Jill.  I sat at the big table on a pillow and cleaned my plate.  I ate some of everything and had a great time.  I loved the sweet potatoes.
Mimz left early to take a plate to GGM Lil but Daddy and I stayed to watch the UT vs A&M game.  We won!
Uncle Scott took this pic Aunt Jill and me.  Everyone said I was so very good. We all have so much to be thankful for.
GGM Avis and GGF John ready to share their Thanksgiving dinner with Barbara in Bella Vista, Arkansas.
Grandma, Bridget, Kristan, and Andy ready to share their Thanksgiving dinner with Mommy in San Antonio.
Kristan, Andy, Mommy, and Bridget playing a game.
Morgan let me bring her cowboy boots home and I did not want to take them off.
More of me in Morgan's boots.

I said "Oh, My" in my sleep... two times.   Mimz heard me and came into my room to check on me and I was sound asleep.  I woke up at 7am and and went strong all day.  Mimz and I had a good day together.  Because it is hard to concentrate with me wanting attention, Mimz waited until Daddy got home to start cooking her part of our Thanksgiving dinner.
It took Barbara 9 1/2 hours to drive home to Arkansas today and Mommy, Grandma, and Maggie drove to San Antonio to spend Thanksgiving with Bridget, Andy, and Kristan.    We have a lot to be thankful for and one of those things is "family."

Since I had been having some trouble sleeping because of my stuffy nose, Barbara let me sleep on one of her "rock" pillows.  The pillow held my head up and I had no problem sleeping.
Lately I am hungry as soon as I wake up.  Barbara fixed two bowls of grits.  I ate mine and 3/4 of hers.
It was raining when Mommy left for work so I only got to wave bye from the garage and did not get to play outside at all this morning.
I kept busy either helping Barbara pack for her trip to Arkansas for the Thanksgiving holiday, picking up the house, and playing.  I am always willing to stop what I am doing to come help and likewise I expect everyone to drop what they are doing and come do what I want... when I want.
As usual I enjoyed playing in the tub.  I like lots of toys in there with me.
I like to work soap into a lather.  I can say "bubbles."
I found two of my metal trees and stood them up.  Then I started asking "where is the other tree?"  That means I know how to count three objects!
When we had Barbara's car loaded we took me to Mimz home.  Of course, I fell asleep on the drive.  I can not help it, since I am restrained by the car seat and cannot move around, I just doze off.
I did not sleep long at Mimz, so she let me help her cook. We fixed King Ranch Chicken first.
Video of me placing cookies on cookie sheet.
I placed the cookies on the cookie sheet.
I was ready to eat them before they were cooked...
It is tough making a guy wait for cookies to bake.... They were worth they wait!
With cookie crumbs and chocolate on my face, I went to work on my scooter.
I had a stuffy. messy nose for a period of time this afternoon, but it got better in the late afternoon.
I have 100 balls that live in this laundry basket.   I thought this would be a fun thing to get into, so I took on the challenge.  What fun!...
...but I found myself trapped.  In this picture I am looking to Mommy to come to my rescue.
I have been able to do sommersaults for several months but this is the first video of it.
This little video was taken while I was dancing with the stars.  I fell and Barbara automatically turned off the camera to then go check on me.   I was up and dancing again before she was able to stand up.  I was not hurt at all.

I am 26 months old today!
Dr. Lacour wanted to see me after my second round of antibiotics so today Mimz took me and Barbara met us there.
I weighed 29.1 pounds which is the most I have ever weighed.  Everyone talks about how I have been eating much more than normal for the past week or so.
My temperature was 97.4
I sat nicely while Dr. Lacour looked at my ears and nose.  I do not have any ear infections.  Thank goodness!  But Saturday I started having a runny or congested nose and a little pink swollen eyes due to some allergies.
When we were ready to leave Dr. Lacour noticed all of his toy magnets were missing off the wall.  While we waited I had been busy moving every one of them to another location.   The adults all laughed at what I had done.
When Barbara took me home, I spent thirty minutes touching ornaments on the Christmas tree.  I learned that I should either just look or touch them very gingerly.  Ah, I did have one little mishap and broke an ornament, but I think I now understand why I am supposed to try to leave the big tree alone. I sat nicely on the sofa while Barbara swept up the little mess.  My smart mommy was wise to put her precious ornaments up high.
Something I never get tired of doing is looking at the slide show of pictures on Barbara's computer.  A few times I have fallen asleep while doing that and today was one of these days.  The pictures are all family pictures and I am one of the stars.

Sunday, November 20, 2011

I had brunch with Mimz, Daddy, Aunt Kathy, Uncle Wendell and second cousins Hudson and Harper .
Daddy brought me over to see our Christmas tree that Mommy, Grandma, and Barbara put up and to watch some Dallas Cowboy football and some car races.  I have a container with Christmas story books and stuffed musical animals and three small Christmas trees that I can play with.  I am supposed to just look or maybe gently touch the ornaments on the big Christmas tree.

This scooter was a birthday present.  I just got on it and took off.
It was time for a haircut.  I sat nicely on Daddy's lap.
I do not often get candy, so this was a treat.

It was a great day except when I was trying to take my nap I keep waking up because I had a stuffy nose.  Mimz held me so my head was elevated and that sure helped me sleep.  Daddy got me some Zrytec for allergies.  After my nap I felt just fine and was going strong, so Daddy and I watched college football.   It was a terrible day for football.  The three of the four teams I root for lost.  Oh well, you win some, you lose some....
 Kristan .....
... and Bridget participated in the Warrior Run in San Antonio.  Andy was invited to go hunting or he would have joined in the fun.
Princess Kristan at the end of the race/ obstacle!  They had a blast!
Princess Bridget at the end of the race/obstacle.  Both of my aunts won a medal for finishing.

5:45am Up and at'tum....
Today was a very routine day... breakfast outside even though it was cool I needed to have on a hoodie.  I waved to both school buses, that always makes me happy.  Mommy honked and so did Nicole our neighbor when they left for work.
While Mommy was getting dressed I said "socks" and "boots."   The words were not clear but it was obvious that that is what I was saying.
Barbara gave me a book shelf from her room, so she has been trying to go through my books to decide which books to put where.  I was not much help because several times I picked up a book and she had to stop to read it to me... but it makes her happy that I like books.
Me sitting in one of my bins.
I am still eating like a little piggie.  I weighed 28.2 pounds this morning.
I have been scratching my ant bites.  Even if I would let them put a Bandaid on them, which I won't, the bites are in between my fingers and a Bandaid would not work well.
Grandma came over for a short visit.  She was driving PaPa's truck and I was so excited thinking I was going to see Papa.   I guess I was glad to see Grandma even without Papa.  I love you Grandma :)
My nap lasted for over three hours.
Mimz came over to get me.  She was taking me to see Grandmother, Laundry, Aunt Kathy, Uncle Wendell, and Uncle Wendell's new truck.
At GGM Lil's home, I know where her room is and walk straight there and I never miss it.
I had a great time at GGM Lil's home.  I give out lots of high 5's to the residence.  We visited the resident pet bird.  There are nine deer that come out every night to eat in the neighboring field and we saw them.
After eating dinner twice and playing with Daddy, I fell asleep at 9:30 probably with visions of my new haircut in my head.  I get a haircut tomorrow morning.

Thursday, November 17, 2011

Daddy fed me breakfast at his apartment.  He took me over to Mimz and I wanted to eat again. Just call me "Little Piggie."
Yesterday I was bitten by an ant or two.  The bites are bigger today, so Mimz put some cream on them.  I said they were not hurting, which they are very glad to hear.
I went to school happily.
After Mimz picked me up from school, Barbara went with us to the mall to ride the carousel and play in the mall playground.  I slept the entire trip to the mall.  Below are some pictures:
Mimz and me on the carousel.
I pushed my umbrella stroller.  I never got in it.
This big girl took a shining to me.
Me having fun.
This caterpillar was a challenge.
Mimz helped me the first two or three times.

Now I was ready to try it by myself
I rose to the occasion...
... just needing help to get down.
Another challenge...
... success!
This big girl would just not leave me alone.
I like dragonflies.  They are in several of my books.
OH, MY!... just my size.
I would give up all my toys for this!
I enjoyed trying out all of the cars.
In car number 2, Mason Watson...
Just like my horsey at home.
I am a good driver.

Thank you, Mimz for taking me to the mall for a fun time.
How many more days until Christmas?
