I did not want to go to school, but my report card said I had a good day and I talked a lot with a smiley face sticker.

I fell asleep on the drive home from school, so I finished my nap on the sofa using Monk Monk as a pillow.

First thing I had to do this morning was help get the trashcans out to the curb. 

 I like to get my chores done early....

... so I loaded my diaper carrier with diapers as soon as we came back upstairs.  Then I was free to play all day.

Next I played with trucks.

 I spent over an hour playing with Megablocks...

 Most of the time I played by myself...

 It was hard work....

My goal was to make it taller than I am.... I was successful!
I still had some sniffles but no fever.

I did not play outside for long, but it was long enough for me to get a couple of bug bites.

I can even climb wearing cowboy boots.

 I have had this problem before but I keep trying...

 to wear my cowboy hat while driving my car...

...it just does not fit...

bit I can drive my plasma car with my hat on.

I had a big McDonald's breakfast this morning.  Daddy came over to see me and we sat on the curb and watched Mr. Mark play catch with Anthony.    I sure would have liked to join in but I am still a bit young.
Mommy and Daddy tried to set up my bouncy house but the blower would not work.  Sure hope we can fix the problem.  I played outside most of the day. 
When it was nap time, I laid down with Mommy and she told me a story until I fell asleep.  I really am enjoying her stories.
Barbara came home around 2pm from her weekend in Dallas visiting her Aunt Peggy and she babysat me while Mommy went to the grocery store.

I did not want to get out of the bathtub.  Since there was very little water left in the tub, Mommy turned on the water faucet and let me get a drink.

Last night I fell asleep listening to Mommy tell me stories.  I was very interested and love it.
Early this morning we heard a commotion outside... it was Waste Management delivering recycle containers.  Our new trash pickup policy is Trash pickup on Monday and Recycle pickup on Thursday.
Mommy and I played outside.
Mommy needed to go to work for a couple of hours so she took me over to Mimz home in the early afternoon.  I fell asleep in the car, of course.
Mommy and I got in her bed and again she put me to sleep by telling me stories.

I keep forgetting to write this new thing I have been doing for several days:  I ask "Why?" all the time.  I listen thoughtfully to the answers.  I am taking it all in.  And I am talking more every day.
I have a cold:  runny nose and congested nose.  I am not up to par, but I still want to play.
I did not want to eat much breakfast, but Mimz and I made Jiffy muffins for a snack and I sure like dipping it in honey and I gobble it down.
I worked my 16 piece puzzle again.  I can almost work it by myself.
Mimz had to go buy a new refrigerator so she gave me to Barbara around lunch time. 
When we got home men were mowing our yard and I watched from the upstairs windows.  When they left I played outside because it was a beautiful day.  Maggie was outside with us and we ate lunch outside.
During Play Dough time we made a bed, a pillow, a boy named Mason, and a blanket.  I put them all together nicely.

 We pushed the sofas against the walls so I would have lots of run to drive my cars.

I love my cowboy boots too and wear them a lot.
Around 1pm I was getting tired so I laid down but could not get comfortable with my stuff nose.  Barbara gave me some medicine.  It took me almost 2 hours to fall asleep.  While I was sleeping Barbara thought my head felt warm.  I had 100.0 degree temperature.
My temperature was almost normal when I woke up and I wanted to eat dinner.

 Barbara and I played in the garage while we waited for Mommy to get home. 

I used my "blower" and played in Barbara's car.   When Mommy got home, Barbara left to go to the lake for the night.  She is going to Dallas to visit her Aunt Peggy for the weekend.

I cried going into school again because of the new teachers, but Miss Melody came to me and that made things alright.
When Mimz picked me up from school my nose was running.  Please not another cold!
We went to the park for thirty minutes and I was happy and energetic.  After a snack at home I quickly fell asleep, but I had a hard time breathing while I napped and it seemed to be getting worse.  I did not have a fever, but oh am I congested.  Daddy brought me some medicine.

 I watched Caillou on Mimz' iPad while Mimz fixed dinner.

The rodeo will be coming to town soon, I am ready....
At night I slept with a humidifier on.

Well, there was no playing outside today.  It was very cloudy and just a little rainy when I went outside to watch Mommy leave for work.  But before long it was really raining and no matter how many times I said, "Outside!" Barbara would not let me go out. We were under a tornado alert.

 We made a Play Dough canoe with PaPa, Grandma, and me sitting in the canoe.  I finally smashed it and tore it into a bunch of little pieces.  I tend to play nicely for a period then when I get tired of Play Dough I tear it all to bits.

I did not want to put on pants.  Barbara kept telling me my legs would get cold... so I came up with an answer.....

I found an old pair of my mom's softball socks that, when we put them on me, came all the way up to my thighs...

I added my U of T cap and only needed one more thing to have a wild outfit....

my cowboy boots!  I was pleased with my look and I stayed dressed like that most of the day.

We missed PaPa's call from Nigeria, so we called him back.  I love to chat with him.

Mimz wanted to come get me, but her refrigerator was leaking so she was busy taking care of her cold food and making plans for a repairman to come fix it.

Oh, some good news:  GGM Lil's house has been sold!

Since I could not play outside, I finally got the next best thing: I spent an hour in the garage playing.  I rode my scooter and I played "driver" in Barbara's car.

I have my Little Tykes car and my plasma car.  We have found it is more fun if Mommy or Barbara rides the plasma car while I drive my Little Tykes car.  We have pushed the sofa's against the walls so we have a big driving area on the hardwood floor in the living room.

Barbara and I walked over to chat with Mr. Mark and Anthony while they waited for Anthony's school bus to take him to school.  And we waited outside for the big kids bus to arrive also.  I waved really big to the drivers and the kids.I cried when I got to school because the first two teachers I saw were new hires and I got scared.  But as soon as I saw Miss Melody and Miss Stephanie, I was fine and I had a good day.
I fell asleep in the car coming home and Barbara got me to the sofa without waking me up.  She tried to take off my boots and I woke up enough to protest, so I took my nap with my boots on.

Daddy got off work early today so I got to spend the afternoon with him.   I loved the time we spent in the park.  Daddy brought me home at the same time Mommy got home from work.  I wanted to play in the yard with them, but they told me it was getting dark, getting cold, and mosquitoes were everywhere, so I had to go inside.  That's no fun!
Most nights I wake up during the night and go get in Barbara's bed.  Most nights Barbara checks on me a couple of times during the night because I kick off my blanket.

Daddy got take out from Outback Steakhouse and Mommy came over to Mimz so we could all enjoy dinner together.  I ate mac and cheese and grilled chicken.  I am a good eater most of the time.
A funny thing:  I want to have on shoes and socks, or at least socks, all the time.  Daddy found a way to get me to take off my socks.  Two nights in a row now he has asked me if I would like him to massage my feet.  I said, "Yes," and next thing I know I am barefooted.   Tricky!

I am 28 months old today!  Growing up fast!

Mimz, Daddy, and I went to Kemah Boardwalk today.

  We road a ferris wheel and I loved it.

Daddy and I road the merry-go-round and at first I was not sure about it but by the end of the ride I was okay.

 We loved watching all the sailboats.

We road the little train that goes from one end of the boardwalk to the other which took about 15 minutes.

The first time we rode I wanted to sit on Mimz or Daddy's laps.  The second time I made Mimz sit in the middle so I could sit on the outside.

 A very very fun day.  Perfect weather.

Daddy won me a UT basketball in a basket making contest.  We went to a small aquarium and I really enjoyed watching the beautiful fish.  There was a tank full of stingrays that we got to feed and touch. There was an animated gorilla in the rainforest but that scared me so we went outside. I had a great time running around the main plaza area.

Of course, I was asleep within minutes of heading home. It was a great day for all of us.
By the way I love shrimp stuffed with crabmeat.  GGF John will love to know that.  Seafood is his favorite thing to eat.
When I woke up from my nap, I made the sign for "more."  I wanted to go back to Kemah Boardwalk.

 Only 28 months old and I love using an iPhone and an iPad.  I am on one knee because my dad was down on one knee and I copy what he does.

I am one happy boy when I am on any vehicle.
Barbara got a new iPhone today.  Maybe that will make the photos she takes be better.

I slept until almost 8am, which is late for me.  I had to hurry to get outside so Mommy could honk her horn at me as she left.  Maggie, Barbara, and I stayed outside for almost 30 minutes so we could wave to the school bus.

During that time something bit me under my right eye.  I get more bites than my entire family put together.

I asked for raisin toast for breakfast and then I also ate half of Barbara's egg sandwich along with a full sippy cup of milk.  I started the day out wearing a long sleeved shirt and long pants, but before long I had switched to shorts and a short sleeved shirt.

We left a bunch of Megablocks all over my toy room floor last night so this morning we had that big mess to pick up.  I am a very good helper .... most of the time... and today I was a great helper.
PaPa called me from Nigeria and we chatted for a few minutes.  That made my day.  I do not realize that I will not see him for a month.
GGF John has gotten a bunch of books for me from his library.  Yesterday Barbara went through them to find some that might now be age appropriate for me now.  I now have eleven new books.  We read them all early this morning.  I really enjoyed one about a boy and his dad spending the day together and pretending they were different animals.

During Play Dough time we made triangles, circles, squares, and stars with the little molds I have. 

I also dissected a Play Dough worm.

We ate lunch outside...

... then played chase from one side fence to the other a few times.  I always always beat Barbara even when I am wearing clunky cowboy boots.

I laid down for half an hour and read some books but would not fall asleep. 
While Mimz was on her way to get me, we played outside again.  I wanted to ride my scooter wearing my boots.

 Barbara told me it would be soooo much easier if I were wearing sneakers.  I agreed to try and guess what:  She was right.
