As soon as Mommy left for work I headed for the backyard and asked Barbara if we could "swing, please" and of course the answer was "yes."
I like to swing high and I also like to try to swing with no hands...

...and I have gotten good at it.  I have learned how to shift my weight as the swing moves back and forth.
I spent a long time watching ProLawn workers clean up our flowerbeds.  I knocked on the window and they waved at me.
We had not played "doctor's appointment" for a few weeks but today we had four appointments and I got a clean bill of health each time.  We ended each appointment with a hand shake.
Before I got in the bath tub, I sat on my potty chair to see what I could do.  Barbara slowly poured about a pint of warm water on me and I watched intently but nothing happened.  Just give me a few more days and I bet my little body figures out how to make it happen.
I colored on blank pieces of papers before and after my nap.
Yesterday I helped PaPa plant some herbs and today I am digging in the dirt.  I have not done that before here at Mommy's home.  Last summer I did dug in the dirt at Mimz' home.  I still do not know how to ignore dirty hands.  I walk around with my hands out like a surgeon who has just washed his hands.   I need them washed so I can go ahead and play.
While waiting for Daddy to pick my up, I played in the back yard and swung.  I ended up with five insect bites in that thirty minutes period.  Barbara was carrying After Bite with her so she could medicate them as soon as she saw a new bite.  That stuff really helps the bites not irritate my skin too much.
Daddy had my cowboy hat in his truck.  Oh how I love being a cowboy truck driver.

Papa and I planted some mint, parsley, dill, cilantro, and some other herb.  I will have fun watering and watching the plants grow.
I can not do anything when my hands get dirty.
I skinned my shin on the concrete blocks and I still need my hands washed so I can get back to work.

Great Grandmother Lil is out of the hospital and I am glad she is feeling better.
Monday morning.... I have to help take out the trash...
Two weeks of trash since there was no pickup last week.
Mommy strapped my booster chair to a breakfast room chair so now I can start eating at the big table.  In this picture I am waiting patiently for my breakfast.
Today's Play Dough creation was an alligator.
While the water was filling the bathtub I sat on my potty chair to see if I might do something... I didn't.  But within a few seconds I did something after I was in the tub.  Mimz suggested that next time we pour a little warm water on me to see if that might help me go while seated on the potty chair.
I played by myself for a long time today...
 using a screwdriver.....
 grilling like PaPa.....
doing a repair on a school bus....
and driving the children to school.
When will I learn that it is much easier to play in sneakers than it is in my boots.... but I love my boots so much.  Oh, and I have learned to say "boots."  It sounds like "book" but I'll work on that.
I have found a good parking garage for my car... in the kitchen pantry.
Nap time with Monk Monk and baby doll.
Notice I have ahold of Monk Monk's red hair top knot.  I rub it to help me fall asleep.
I sat like this for several minutes....
watching Caillou.  I watch Yo Gabba Gabba also.  And I have added another show, Blue's Clues.  I mainly like that show because of the blue dog.

Mommy put a jacket on me right before we were ready to drive to the lake to spend the day with PaPa, Grandma, and Bridget.  Bridget was here for the rodeo....
and I promptly took it off.  I have a mind of my own.  Barbara caught the head cold I just got over and stayed home to rest.
I helped PaPa skim leaves out of the swimming pool.
Normally Papa would still have the cover on the pool but he had to have a repair done and the cover needed to come off.
I helped Papa put air in Mommy's tires, then Mommy and I watched while he did another little repair.
When Bridget got there we all sat outside to visit.  It was a lovely day.
We all went to the new Kroger's grocery store in Willis.  I got to drive this cute green truck.

At HEB grocery store I drove Big Blue number 5 while Mommy shopped.
Who knows what I was thinking when this photo was snapped.
Back home I enjoyed a peanut butter sandwich, getting a bunch on my face...
Mommy hopes when I have a peanut butter sandwich at school I am a neater eater!
Playing Keep-Away with Mommy.
An example of how smart I am:  I know not to eat "yucky stuff,"  I know dirty stuff is "yucky."  And I came up with this use for the word "yucky":
I have wash clothes with airplanes, boats, and trains on them.  This one is the train....
When I saw the backside of the embroidery, I said, "yucky!"  I understood that this was the wrong side and so that made it "yucky."

I know where my potty chair is kept.  I know how to put in on the toilet and how to move my steps to the toilet.  I know how to get on and off, and on and off, and on and off of the seat.  I know how to use toilet paper and how to flush the toilet.  I know how to tell everyone that I have T-ted or pooped... after the fact.  I am so ready to actually "use" the toilet!
Here is my Play Dough elephant on a sandy beach.
Today Barbara drove me to the lake so I could help PaPa with some chores.  We cleaned leaves out of the swimming pool.  We went through his fishing tackle box and got it organized.  We distributed toilet paper to each bathroom.  We vacuumed out the inside of PaPa's "yucky" truck.  Actually he has the cleanest truck around.
My pretty cousin Morgan ready to go to her sixth grade school dance.  Mimz said she had so much fun taking her to get her nails done.  Since she only had sons this was a special treat.
Bridget drove here from San Antonio last night and spent the night with us.  I was shy for about one minute, then we were best friends.  She is here to go to the rodeo with friends.

Mimz had cut up some cheese for me, but I decided I wanted more, so I picked up the whole chuck and took a big bite.  (This picture belonged on 2-18th but it didn't show up, so here it is.)
I coughed a few timed during the night.  I woke up at 1am asking for milk, so Mimz gave me some and I went right back to sleep.
While Mimz fixed me breakfast, I played in my bedroom by myself.  I am playing by myself more and more.
Mimz took me to school and Barbara picked me up.  When Barbara was pulling out of the school driveway, I told her to turn right (instead of left towards home) because the park is that way and Mimz often takes me to the park to play when she picks me up.
This is still winter but the temperature was in the 80s today.  I was full of energy today and did not take a nap.  Barbara was worn out by the time Mommy got home and I continued to play hard until I conked out at 8:30pm.
Even though I am barely coughing I am taking the medicine because it will help thin out the mucus I am needing to get rid of.
I am good about putting away Play Dough when we finish with it.  See my latest creation...
...with Barbara's help.

I slept all night without coughing or waking up or taking my nighttime medicine.
I started coughing after waking up so Mommy gave me some medicine.  I did not cough for the rest of the day.
Watching Yo Gabba Gabba while waiting for breakfast to be ready.
I did not want to get dressed but I wanted to wear Mommy long softball socks so I got to.  They come all the way up to my thighs.
I love to swing and did so for over half an hour.
2-22-2012 Enjoying being outside running.
I fixed Ritz crackers and peanut butter sandwiches for a snack...
I am learning to lean over my plate to catch the crumbs...
And I helped clean my tray when I was finished eathing.
A first:  I told Barbara I wanted to play in my room and she started to go with me, but I did not want her to come.  I wanted to play by myself in my room.  So she went to her room, which is next to mine, so she was near by to keep an eye on me.  That lasted for about five minutes before I came asking her to play something.
I am doing an Irish Dance along with a dancer on television.
I thought something was silly on television so I did a sort of fake laugh.
Daddy took me to Mimz' home after work.

Great Grandmother Lil is still in the hospital.  I hope she is not feeling too bad and gets to go home soon.
I am 29 months old today and I weigh 31 pounds.  I know this because I had an appointment with Dr. Lacour this morning because I have been coughing for a week.  I am almost over the cough but we wanted to see what we needed to do to get me completely well.
It is a tradition that I get up on this high seat every time I come to Dr. Lacour's office.
While we waited for over 30 minutes in the exam room I played with all the magnets on the wall.

I played Dr. Lacour's seat like it was a drum.
Dr. Lacour said my ears and lungs were clear.  My heart was good.  He said I had a head cold and I still had some mucus to get rid of so he gave me two prescriptions.  "Mucinex Cold" -- 3/4 teaspoon 4 times a day is the day time medicine to help get rid of the mucus.   The night time one is to help me sleep if I need it.  it is a prescription for Cheratussin AC syrup.  I am to have 3.8 ml at bedtime.
He was glad to hear that I have added lots of words to my vocabulary in the past five months.
H said it was very normal for children my age to be picky eaters and to eat just a couple of bites and be finished and at some meals eat to their meals and then want more.  He said if I ate most foods, including fruits and vegetables, vitamins were not necessary but okay if they made my parents feel better.  They make expensive pee.
I got tired waiting at Walgreen's to get my prescription filled and I was crying and not a happy camper.  I was glad to get home to eat lunch and lay down for a nap.  But before I got to sleep PaPa came over and I was overjoyed at the prospect of helping him in the yard.
PaPa used a spreader to put down some yard stuff and I used my umbrella stroller do do the same.
Our Knockout roses are starting to bloom... spring will be here soon.
Today at work birds COVERED Mommy's car with "stuff" and it had to be washed today!...
So PaPa and I washed it.
I helped wash the drivers side ...
...and I played while PaPa washed the passenger side.
Over and over I got my hands covered in soap ....
...then I would splatter it everywhere.  Oh, what fun!

During this time four people honked their horns at me:  Nicole, Mr. Mark, a school bus driver, and Papa.   The all made me happy.
On February 15th Great Grandmother Avis had surgery on a spot on her nose that would not heal.  She had to wear a big bandage on it for a week.
Today she got the big bandage off and got a good report from the doctor.  My Great-great aunt Peggy Bates sent GGM a flower bouquet.  These pictures were taken over the web cam.
