Last night around 9:30 I developed a 100.6 fever.  Medicine brought it back to normal.  Mimz checked on me a couple of times during the night and I stayed cool to her touch.
I woke up at 7:15 and thirty minutes later I upchucked.  That was a first for me.  Oh, I did spit up just a little when I was a tiny baby, but I have never upchucked because I was not feeling well.  I just wanted to sit watching television while holding Monk Monk.
I did not want to eat until Mimz fixed me some cornbread.  It is common knowledge that I LOVE cornbread.  But alas, I only ate three bites and I was finished.  I was whining and started pulling at my ears.  I'm lucky that Mimz can sit and hold me.
After I was feeling better I went outside to cut down some trees...
... I like working.  I often am cleaning, or picking up, or cooking, or folding and putting away clothes.  Everyone hopes that stays a part of my character.
Mimz took me for a ride on Pops scooter and like I have done before, I fell asleep.
Mimz and I played outside until Daddy got home and then we got out my t-ball stand and I practiced batting.
Daddy and Mommy met and the school where Mimz and Barbara met.  Mommy brought me home.  First thing I did was tell Barbara about my playing t-ball.  I ate a little of Mommy spaghetti and I picked the carrots out of Barbara's concoction.  Hopefully I get my appetite back soon.
I fell asleep while Mommy was holding me watching Caillou.

It was spitting rain but I played out on my patio anyway.  I wanted to wear jeans even though it was hot outside...

...I wanted to wear my boots but Barbara would not let me because it was wet outside...
Okay, I had enough and was ready to come inside.  Barbara sat in a chair and watched me through this glass door.
I built a tower of Play Dough cans...
 ... and down it came...
...easy come, easy go!
I did not have a fever last night or this morning but I do have an appointment with Dr. Lacour because I have had a fever several times over the last eleven days.
It is a tradition for me to sit on this seat every time I go to Dr. Lacour's office.  While I was up there I  was asking Barbara what things were.  One of the things I asked about was a red FIRE alarm.  She told me if there was a fire, fireman would come to put out the fire.  I said in a loud voice,  "fireman come, fireman come here, right NOW????"  The office workers and other adults heard me and they all thought it was funny how excited I was at the idea of fireman coming right NOW!While we were waiting in the examination room, I sat on Dr. Lacour's stool and we played like I was Dr. Watson. I started by shaking Barbara's hand.   I examined her ears, eyes, nose, and mouth.  I listened to her heart.  I said she was fine, shook her hand and she was ready to leave.  Except we had to play this about four more times.  And guess what::: when Dr. Lacour examined me, he checked the same things I checked when I was the doctor!
Dr. Lacour said my fever eleven days ago might have been viral and turned into an ear infection in both of my ears.  The official diagnoses is Otitis media.  Last November I had an ear infection and the first antibiotic I took did not get rid of it but the second one did, so my prescription this time is for the one that worked last time: Cefixime PO SUSP 3.8 mL by mouth daily for 10 days.   An interesting thing about that prescription.  The cost of one small little bottle would normally be $280.00 but Dr. Lacour gave us a coupon so it was only $25.00  Wow..  Thank goodness.
I have an appointment on June 13 at 9:40 for a follow up to make sure the ear infection is gone.
My temperature was 98.1.  My height was 37.75 (74.39 Percentile).  My weight was 31.4 pounds  (56.57 percentile).
We told Dr. Lacour about my getting lots of insect bites when no one else will.  He said that is very common.  He recommended either Off! Skintastic Family Insect Repellent or Avon Skin So Soft insect repellent.
Also after gets bites can rub on both Benadryl Itch stopping cream and Hydrocortisone 1% ointment to help healing.
I fell asleep on the drive home.  I woke up shortly before Daddy came to pick me up after work.
I love climbing the litte hill to this big old tree and would never really cut it down...
...but I had fun pretending to use my chainsaw on it.

Mommy took a day of vacation so she took me to school for the first time.  I helped give her directions, even though she already knew how to get there.  Mommy told me to listen to my teachers and to obey the rules.  I said I would.  Mommy took me inside because she wanted to see me with my friends.  I cried and clung to her, so Mrs Stephanie had to hold me while Mommy left.  Mommy hated to see me cry but she knew that I would stop as soon as she left.   There was a new boy in my class.  That makes 4 boys and 6 girls.

Today was Memorial Day.  Thank you to all our service men and women.

Since Barbara was not here this weekend there were very few pictures taken of me and none were taken today.
Today started out just like yesterday until around noon when everyone started packing up to leave.
I followed PaPa around a lot this weekend.  He and I would do little chores and I would say, "Okay, PaPa, what next?"
Around 5pm Mommy had our car packed and when she went to get me she saw that PaPa and I were heading out to the boat.  She waited while PaPa and I enjoyed our last few minutes of the weekend out on the lake.
When we got home I told Barbara all about the good time I had.
I told her I was tired and very glad to see her.
I was just about asleep when our electricity when out.  That woke me up in a hurry.  While Mommy was getting a flashlight, I bumped into a door frame and that really hurt.  I was so very full of questions and had a lot of fun playing with the flashlight.  I fell asleep around 9:30 and did not know that 45 minutes later the electricity was back on.

I jumped into the pool over and over.  My head went under the water a few times and I would sputter, but I would still go back for more.
I loved playing in the pool's water jets..

It is hard to tell but in this picture PaPa and I are watering flowers.  All totalled there were about 30 people coming and going all weekend.
Aunt B and Chris left around noon to head back to San Antonio because Aunt B had to work on Monday.
I was the only child there and I was a big hit.  I would go up to everyone and talk and laugh and enjoyed the attention.

at lake

Andy and I were co-captains on a boat ride.
I played in the swimming pool for a couple of hours.  I would stand on the side of the pool and jump to Mommy over and over.  Only one time did we dunk my head under the water and I did not mind.  I did practice kicking.  My left leg kicks stronger than my right leg.
When I woke up from my nap I asked Mommy why it was so quiet.  She said everyone had gone over to the Wilson's home for awhile.
PaPa and Grandma fixed brisket, potatoes and beans.  I ate everything on my plate.
Everyone played water volleyball and I was given the job of retrieving the ball when it went out of the pool.  Two funny things about that:  I would walk to get the ball.  Everyone would was hollering at me to run or go faster and I would holler back, "No walk!"  I remembered PaPa telling me to walk when I was around the pool.  And I would only give the ball back to my Aunt B.  Once I considered giving it to Uncle Andy but changed my mine.  That was a lot of fun.
I rode my scooter around the patio wearing my blue jeans and sneakers.

I did not play in the water today because we knew the lawn was going to be mowed today.  I was happy to play inside in my toy room.
Normally if Barbara or Mommy goes downstairs, I insist on going even if it is just to go down to get something and then coming right back up.  Today I wanted to stay upstairs playing while Barbara put clothes in the dryer and the washer.  She brought the clothes upstairs and I helped fold them and helped put them away.  I am a good helper.  It only takes twice as long to get them job done with my help.
My family is going to try practicing the behavior method recommended in the book 1-2-3 Magic.  It involved Time Outs, which I am very familiar with.
I had chips and Daddy's queso for a snack.  I sure like those red and blue chips.  They taste the same as the yellow ones but I just like the colored ones.
A funny thing:  Mommy and I were going to Grandma's and PaPa's home for the weekend and I needed to take some toys.  Barbara gave me an empty diapers box and told me to pick out the trucks I wanted to take.  Well, I filled the box plum full of trucks.  When I had my back turned Barbara took out 3/4 of them, added some books and other necessities. That will be enough toys, along with my scooter, since I will have lots of people to play with also.  I ended up having three diaper boxes filled with my necessities.  One thing I cried about was that we were not taking my cowboy boots.  Mommy tried explaining to me that we would be playing around the swimming pool and we did not want to get them wet.  I finally got over it.
Mommy and I talked the entire time we were driving to the lake.  I kept asking why we turned that way and why don't we turn the other way.
I kept asking when Bridget, Andy and Kristan would get to the lake.  I guess I should not be told things to much before they are going to happen because I do not understand that it will be hours before it happens.  I was awake when they arrived but I acted shy and very soon after that Mommy and I went to bed.
During the night I had a fever but by morning my temperature was back to normal.

I was well behaved at school

Mimz and I talked about how important it is for me to be a good boy at school and follow the rules.  I know it makes my family happy so I will try.
I had pancakes for breakfast wearing my boots and my helmet.  Mimz bought me some sock with a motorcycle on them and I had those on also.  I went to school happily and my teacher said I had a wonderful day at school.
Mimz was taking me to the park after school but she did not bring my boots and I would not settle for anything but that we went home to get them.  Mimz told me if we left the park we were not coming back.  I came up with another idea.  I asked Mimz to take me on a drive, so she did and, as you might expect, I fell asleep.  Normally Mimz can carry me inside her home without my waking up, but today I woke up and would not go back to sleep.
I have a baby doll that was Bridget's when she a little girl.  Sometimes when I am at Mimz I ask for my baby doll, so Mimz bought me a boy baby doll.  Now I am Daddy to two babies.
Late in the afternoon Mimz and Barbara met so I could go home to see Mommy after she got off work.
Oh boy!  I found a way to make lots of bubbles.  I took the lid off the hand soap dispenser and emptied it into the sink.  I must have played for 15 minutes, maybe more.
Video of me playing in soap bubbles in bathroom sink.
I fell asleep while Barbara was reading to me.
Grandma's ten-year-old Tahoe had 227,000 miles on it and was in need of some expensive repairs, one of them was on the air conditioner.  Since we live in Houston an air conditioner is almost a necessity so today Grandma and PaPa went car shopping.  They looked at new and used cars.
They bought a 2012 Buick Enclave which is half car, half SUV.
Fancy Smancy!

I had a good morning and afternoon... by that I mean I was well behavied.  I had a couple of moments when I was ready to misbehave (throw a truck and hit Barbara) but Barbara talked me out of it.  I decided I did not want to go to Time Out, so I did not throw the truck or hit Barbara.
We put my wading pool and water toys in the backyard ...
... and I played like I was a fireman putting out a fire.  When the sun hit my pool we went inside to get dressed and play with my trucks.
Barbara was reading to me when she realized I had fallen to sleep.  That was around 11:30am.
After I had been asleep for a couple of hours I woke up, then I sat up, then I fell to sleep again....
... I rubbed my head while still asleep.  I had on blue jeans because that was what I wanted to wear.
After my nap and before Mimz came to pick my up, I had time to play in the water.
It was hot in the sun, but my pool was in the shade so I got to play again today.
Mimz and I went to visit GGM Lil.

In this picture I am ready for school.  We were waiting for the big school bus ....
...so I could wave....
to the bus driver and the kids.  I went to school happily.
When Barbara picked me up after school she talked to Mrs Stephaine, my teacher.  She said that until a couple of weeks ago, I was a little angel, but since then I have not been listening or minding.  They know I know the rules, but for some reason I break them and then repeatedly break them.  An example is no running in the classroom.  My parents are not going to be happy to hear this.  I expect to get a "talking to."
Mommy and Barbara had both noticed that I am having more behavior problems than I normally do.  Now, most of the time I am a good boy, but sometimes I hit, pinch, throw things, and slam doors.   I am sent to Time Out.  Or the toy I threw is put in the middle of the pool table and I don't get to play with it until the next day.  And if I hit one of them, they will not play with me.  And I am told that those things are not acceptable.  I sometimes say I am sorry.... but five minutes later I might do the same unacceptable thing again.  And I sometimes say "I am mean.  It is funny."  Where did I learn that?????  Is this tipical two-year-old boy behavior?

Monday, May 21, 2012

I woke up at 5:30 and would or could not go back to sleep, so Barbara read to me and I played in my big toy room until 6:30 when we woke up Mommy.  I helped take the trashcan to the curb for pickup.  I helped fix breakfast and Mommy's lunch.  Then Mommy went outside to play with me while we watched for the first school bus.   After Mommy left for work I rode Tow Mater around my deadend street for a long time.  Finally I was ready to go upstairs to start playing up there.
I was sick this weekend with a fever.  I do not have a fever now but I still act a little tired.  I lay down to rest more than usual.

Mommy and I are covered up under a quilt.
This picture is a self portrait.... I used Barbara's phone to snap the picture.

Saturday, May 19, 2012

This morning my temperature was 101.  I played but without any zip.
I just chilled....
and chilled some more.
I had the fever all day but I was in a good mood.
I had an appointment to get my haircut.

Good looking boy, good looking haircut.

Friday, May 18, 2012

I woke up early and was ready to play hard all day.  After helping fix breakfast and Mommy's lunch, I played outside in my deadead street in my tow truck.  As always it got warmer as time passed so I agreed to going upstairs but I was reluctant about leaving my tow truck.  Barbara had an idea... she called Grandma to see if it would be okay for us to take Tow Mater upstairs and ride him on the carpet.  Grandma agreed it could not hurt that old carpet.  (We are getting new carpet, new paint, and new appliances when we no longer have Maggie.)
So here I am driving Tow Mater into my room...
...and leaving my room.
I sure like my zoo hat.
After my nap we went outside to play and wait for Daddy to come get me to start my weekend with him.  Mimz is out-of-town this weekend, so it will just be us guys.
Late in the evening, I started running a fever.  We could not find Mimz' thermometer, so we did not know my exact temperature, but I was pretty hot.  Daddy gave me some medicine and Mommy came over.  They took turns holding me.

Today two policewomen brought their police car to my school.  They talked to us about safely and about how policeman are our friends and we can go to them if we need help.   I brought home a deputy badge and a coloring book and crayons.
Mimz brought me to Barbara.  Of course, I fell asleep in the car so Mimz carried me in so I could finish my nap.  The first thing I said when I woke up was "tow truck."
Mimz brought my tow truck to my home, because she knew I would want it, and she was right.
This little video shows me driving it around my dead end street.

Wednesday, May 16, 2012

I was a very good boy all day.  I played hard and resisted taking a nap but finally I gave up and took a nap.  Mimz came to pick me up after my nap.

As soon as I left with Mimz Monk Monk had a bath.  I do notice that he is clean sometimes after I come back from spending a weekend with Daddy and Mimz.
I am a lucky boy.  Mimz bought me a battery-powered Tow Mater tow truck.   Tow Mater is a character in the Cars movies.  Mimz explained to me that motorcycle guy wears a helpmet, so I wanted to wear my bike helmet.   I
