I was up early because I knew I was going to have a fun outing today.
Mommy, Grandma, and I went to a neighborhood Easter Egg Hunt.
We started by playing on the playground equipment.
I went down that slide over and over.  It is a lot more fun than my tiny slide at home.
Picture of me climbing the ladder to the slide.
We were in line to ride the pony-pulled-cart when they announced that the egg hunt was starting.  The entire waiting line ran to the egg hunt.  I was more interested in the pony, so we decided to forgo the egg hunt for an extra long ride on the pony.
I had on a helmet and Mommy rode with me.
"I want one of these."
The big slides were empty, so again, I took advantage and had them all to myself.
The first time I was going across this swinging bridge it was scary and I held on for dear life...
.... after going across a few times, I was acting like I had been doing it my whole life.
I love the climbing.
The last thing we did was pet the goats.  At first I wanted Mommy to stay with me...
... it did not take me long to venture over to the goat by myself.
I had a fun fun time and so did Mommy and Grandma.

I woke up with a stuffy nose, which soon became a runny nose.
I got two mosquito bites while I was outside with Mommy blowing bubbles.  I ran into a piece of furniture and got a bump on my head, but other that it was a good morning.
I announced that I needed to T-tee, and I rushed off to the bathroom.  It took a little bit of time to get my shorts and diaper off, but I was able to hold it in, until I was seated on my potty chair.  Ah, that sure makes me happy, when I do things that make everyone so excited.
Soon after lunch, I told Barbara I was sleepy, so she laid down and told me two stories about fire trucks and I fell asleep.
As soon as I woke up from my nap, I said "t-tee," took off my diaper, and got on my potty chair.  Success!  First time I have done that twice in one day.
I like floating in the bathtub. We played outside three times today, and each time we spent part of the time blowing bubbles.   I want to blow the bubbles, but have not got a good technique yet, so mostly I run around popping them.
I helped put dishes in the dishwasher and I wore a sock on my hand and did some dusting.  Another of my chores is to try to toss recyclables into the big bin.  I have to toss the stuff up high and sometimes I hit my mark and sometimes I don't.   So far, I still think my chores are "fun" not "work."
Since we moved into this house, Barbara has counted the fourteen steps as we go down the staircase.  I am starting to count with her.  I often say "three" "six" and "ten" before she does.

Normally I would have spent last night with Daddy but he had to work late and Mimz was under the weather.
It was a routine "get ready for school" morning so we can leave the house by 8:25am.  I am getting picky about what I want to wear, and sometimes I don't want to wear either of the two choices I am given.

I can say  MASON !!!  I have said it at least a dozen times today.  I am talking in sentences and am oh so proud of myself.
I have been playing with my big fire truck that Daddy bought me.  I named the fireman Joe like the fireman in one of my books.  I have made a big mess in my bedroom, but I am pretty good about helping to clean up.  Laundry's dad, Matt, taught me to sing a "cleanup " song.
Normally I would spend today with Mimz and Daddy, but Mimz is not feeling well and Daddy has to work late, so I have to stay with Barbara until Mommy gets home to play with me.
I played outside for over an hour and did not get any insect bites... that is a first!
I have a 36- piece "transportation" puzzle that I can't work by myself, but I did not want Barbara to help me.  I had fun looking at the pieces and pushing them around.  When I was finished I put every piece in the box and then told Barbara I had "cleaned up."  Oh, I am such a good boy.
While taking my bath, Barbara asked me to wave and tell Mimz to "get better soon."

Tuesday, March 27, 2012

I slept until 8:15 so I had to hurriedly eat breakfast and get dressed so we could leave for school at 8:30.
I did get to wave to the big kids school bus, that always makes me happy.
I like to dance along with the television show Dancing Wiht the Stars.
I like taking a bath.  I had just talked to Uncle Andy and Aunt Kristan on the web cam.

Today was a red letter day for me for two reasons.
First Daddy was off work so I got to spend the entire day with him.
And second I made Grandma very happy because Mommy taught me to say "Grandma."
First thing I had to do after Daddy brought me home was bring in the trash can..

Sunday, March 25, 2012

Daddy had to go to work for a few hours this morning, so Barbara cared for me during that time.  We tried to play outside but the mosquitoes were out in force so we scurried inside.
I like some Bubble Guppies epsiodes especially the ones about cowboys and firemen.
I play with trucks while watching television.
I came up with a new game.  I drive trucks around the edge of the pool table, round and round and round, non-stop.

Mommy, Andy and Kristan, Bridget and Chris and five friends went to Fiesta Texas, an amusement park, to celebrate Mommy's  32nd birthday.  They stayed at the park from 10am to 8pm and had a blast.
Bridget and Chris at Fiesta Texas Amusement Park.
Happy birthday, Mommy, a short video.
Chasing bubbles after breakfast.
It was a routine morning playing with Play Dough, blocks, trucks, and books until Daddy picked me up around 10:30am to start a fun weekend with him.
We went to the grocery store.  One thing we bought was a little pizza for Daddy and me to enjoy for lunch.
We ate dinner with Mimz.

When the water gets to the top of the white band, the water level at Lake Conroe will be back to normal.  This is a big surprise to everyone.  We thought it might be a year or more before it would return to normal.
As you can tell from this picture my train has been put away for the time being because instead of playing with it in the way it was intended I want to tear it up.  But I still enjoy the table.  I got on the lake picture and said, "I'm wet, see the water!"
I am becoming a very polite boy: I often say "thank you" when I am handed a toy or something.
I think my playing with bubbles after breakfast is becoming a part of my routine.
I was constipated this morning.  No one likes for me to hurt.
Barbara fixed me some of my favorite: Jiffy corn bread.  Last week I could not get enough Yum Yum, but this week I don't want it.  I will eat it if it is on top of ice cream.
A couple of people have asked:  Who taught Mason to say, "WHY?"  I guess I over use that question. But they love me anyway.
A fun tidbit: For my entire life I have been interested in socks and shoes.  I normally insist on having on socks.  I ALWAYS point them out in picutres in books.  When we are on the web cam, I always ask what PaPa, Grandma, GGM Avis, and GGM John have on their feet and I want to see.  I want to wear socks to bed.  And if I wake up in the morning without them, I want some socks back on pretty quickly.  And I LOVE my cowboy boots.
I just now quickly looked through pictures of me.  I noticed that I may not have on pants but I will have on socks or shoes.  See above example.

I like trying to use the potty chair and then washing my hands..  So far my success rate is not so good.  One day soon I will learn to "make my announcement" before I act.

Wednesday, March 21, 2012

I was 2 1/2 years old today.  I weighed in at 31.7 pounds and measured 37 1/4 inches tall.  When I was born I weighed 5 pounds 10 ounces and was 18 1/4 inches tall.  I am twice my birth height.
Mommy is off to her job.  I wish she could stay home and play with me.
I was up early so Mommy got me dressed up in a new outfit so Barbara could take me to the library for story time.
Barbara said we could go outside to chase bubbles after I ate breakfast...
.... so that is what we did.  What fun!
While we were loading the dishwasher, we heard a loud noise which turned out to be a street cleaner, so we hurried upstairs so we could watch it go up and down the street.  About this time we looked at the clock and realized we had missed story time at the library.    Guess we will have to try again next week.
I have another favorite book. This one is called Fire Dog.  It is about a Dalmatian that lives at a fire station, who gets in trouble for playing Hide the Boots.  (Firemen need their boots ready at all times for them to quickly be off to a fire.)
Barbara took me to meet Mimz and I said I wanted to go to the park instead of going home, but we had groceries we had to put away.  After we put away the groceries I was happy to stay home to eat, play, and read my books before my nap.
Mimz made pancakes for our dinner.  I ate four and I was glad there were some leftover for tomorrow.   Mimz said I was very very good all day today.    I said, "Thank you" when she gave me a toy.  I am saying sentences now.

Tuesday, March 20, 2012

The day started out with a little adventure:  Our electricity was off for almost an hour, from right after I woke up until it was time to leave for school.  I was a little scared of the thunder and not having lights.  Barbara and I sat on the bed and talked about rain, lightening and thunder, and no electricity.  I would still be asking "why?" if we had time to continue our discussion.  In the house it was pretty dark, so we each carried a flashlight around getting us dressed, fed breakfast, and fixing my school lunch.  Five minutes before we were to leave the lights came back on.
The windshield wipers or the pitter-patter of the rain almost put me to sleep in the car.  I got a little wet getting into the school but it was only rain water.
After 1pm I was in for a happy surprise. Barbara was not alone when she picked me up from school.... PaPa was with her. Seeing him made me happy, I mean, happier. We played before PaPa left for the airport to go to his job in Nigeria late in the afternoon.

Monday, March 19, 2012

On my own I made this train made up of some of my trucks.
I borrowed Barbara's phone when she was not looking and I snapped this picture.  I know how to turn her phone on, find the picture album and look at the pictures and watch the videos.  And now I know how to take pictures.   I also can make calls but that is just from randomly pushing buttons.
Just call me Mr. Smarty Pants.

PaPa and I gave Maggie a bath.

Happy 24th birthday Aunt Bridget!
Daddy had me playing in the bathtub this morning before he took me to meet Barbara.  She took me to PaPa and Grandma's home because we were having a party for Bridget.
First thing we did was check out the lake water level.  There is no sandy beach  The water had reached the bulkhead.  We need another three feet of water before the boat can be launched.
Grandma wanted to get some recipes off the Internet ...
... and I helped.
Mommy's entire immediate family was there:  PaPa and Grandma, Andy and Kristan, Bridget and Chris Berneche (boy friend), Mommy, Barbara, and me.
I let everyone played with me.  Papa grilled pork, chicken, and sausage for fajitas.
Grandma fixed a seven layer dip and three new dessert recipes.  These are not cheese balls.
I helped myself and I liked it all.
Bridget's favorite dessert is ice cream, so Grandma made her an ice cream cake.
That was the most sugar I have had in months.
When I got sleepy, I laid down on the bottom step...
Bridget started playing with me, but I still managed to fall asleep for an hour.
Uncle Andy, Aunt Kristan, and me.  No one would look at the camera.
One fun thing we did was blow bubbles.  Andy was a good bubble blower.
Everyone loved watching me chase the bubbles.
I ran my little legs off chasing those silly bubbles.
I kept getting better and better at catching them.
I found this long noodle helped since the bubbles tending to rise over my head.
I never gave up!
PaPa and I fished after everyone left for the drive back to San Antonio.
We did not catch anything but we enjoyed ourselves anyway.
Mommy, Grandma, Barbara and I went to the Montgomery Library located at I-45 and 2854 to take pictures of me with the bluebonnets.
The Texas state flower is the bluebonnet.
This field is designated for wildflowers.

After taking pictures I ran and ran and ran.
