I ate my breakfast outside and played in the backyard until time for Mommy to leave for work.
I stood on the sofa (so I would be safe) while Barbara ran the vacuum. This old bedspread is on the sofa so Maggie and I won't do any damage to the sofa.
Grandma bought me a new kind of building block toy, which Barbara ran through the dishwasher and then sanitized in bleach water. I am a bit young to build with it, but I did play with and then destroy what Barbara would build.
Mimz came over to Mommy's home and dressed me in a nice new outfit. She took me to the mall to get my picture taken at the same place I had it taken when I was six months old. While we waited for our turn at picture taking, we rode on the merry-go-round. I slept all the way to the mall and all the way home and continued to nap after we got home.
Mommy drove to Mimz home to get me after she got off work.
Barbara had a rough day, getting locked out of the house and nothing going as planned, but it all worked out in the end.
Grandma, Mommy, Barbara and I were all tired and we were all asleep before 9pm.

Grandma spend the night, so she got the priveledge of caring for me when I first woke up. They think I am so adorable when I am stretching and deciding I am really ready to get out of bed.
I went to school happily with not a peep of protest. I was a good boy at school and brought home a fingerpainting of a strawberry that Mommy put on the refrigerator.
After my nap I played outside until Barbara convinced me that it was too hot. She also bribed me with a popcicle.
A funny thing: I was standing beside the bathtub when Mommy took off my diaper. I looked down and much to Mommy's surprise I started a stream which she managed to catch in the diaper. We laughed. In the tub Mommy washed my hair with Selsun Blue scrubbing the spot on top of my head that has Cradle Cap.
Another funny thing: I grabbed the bar soap before Mommy removed it from my reach. I had a lot of fun trying to hold on to it because every time I would squeeze it would squirt out out of my hands. We laughed at me doing that over and over. We are easily entertained.

I was up early so Barbara and I tried to keep quiet so Mommy could continue to sleep. We played outside with Maggie and with my little coupe.
The morning was pretty routine. Part of the afternoon was spent running an errand with Grandma. She did not need us to go with her but it got us out of the house. I talked and sang to myself the entire time we were in the car. Everyone says they cannot wait for me to start saying real words so they will know what I am talking about.
I do say "ow" when I hurt myself... not a bad hurt which requires crying, just little bitty hurts.
I was almost asleep until I heard the garage door go up... It was Grandma coming to spend the night. Well, that woke me up so it was after 10pm before I got to sleep.... and I have to get up early in the morning since it is a school day.

While waiting for Mommy leave for work, I played with the lawn sprinkler. What fun!
I did not cry or whine on the trip to school or walking into class. I was reminded not to pull any child's hair.
When Barbara came to pick me up, she asked my teacher if I pulled anyone's hair. She said I might have one time, but it likely was just an accident. I did so much better than I did last Thursday when I got my bad report. Mommy is saving that piece of paper.
I slept the last half of the trip home, and woke up ready to play as soon as Barbara tried to get me out of my car seat. We played all the regular things. I fell asleep around 4:15pm for two hours.
Oh, this really scared me: I was asleep in the big toy room. Barbara was watching the television with no volume. All of a sudden the television blared out a weather report. Of course it woke me up and Barbara and I both ran to each other for protection. It took me a couple of minutes to calm down.
I entertained myself playing parking lot with all of these vehicles. I am able to maneuver my little coupe well.
Then Daddy came to take me home for the night since he will be out of town for several days and he wants to see me this week.

I had a good morning and afternoon playing with Mimz.
At Mommy's home I played on my toddler bed for a long time and keep trying to get Barbara to get on my bed but she kept insisting that she was too big even though Bridget proved it was sturdy enough to hold an adult.
My megablock balance beam makes a good track for my cars and trucks to drive on.
It makes a good obstacle for my trucks to maneuver over also.
I put Halloween plastic stickers on the back door window.
Mommy, Barbara, and I shopped for me a Halloween costume. I tried on a Plex costume, a bad biker costume, and ended up getting a skeleton costume. It was the cutest of the three and the least expensive.

Daddy bought me some new clothes since I am almost too big for 18 month clothes. Size 24 is just a tad too big.
Daddy, Mommy, and Bridget visited with each other while they played with me and watched some football.

Daddy, Mimz, and I spent the day at Aunt Kathy's home with her family.
Aunt Kathy read to me.
Daddy and Wendell watched A&M football while Landry and I played well together while the big boys were gone. Mimz fixed us a big lunch.
For my birthday Aunt Kathy and Uncle Wendell gave me a pop-up tent....
and a lantern so I can get inside the tent and read. What a lucky boy I am.
Sleeping Beauty Bridget. She wondered if my little toddler bed would support her weight. It did!
Oh, I forgot to write this: The little green pillow behind Bridget was a birthday gift from my mom. It is Brobee, a character from the Yo Gabba Gabba show.

Barbara and I played a new pretend game today: barber shop. I was the customer getting my hair cut, washed, dried, brushed and hairsprayed. We used a baby receiving blanket as a cape, and my little brushes and combs as our tools. We used a real hairdryer, but not plugged in.... or I would have had nothing to do with the game since I do not like the noise they make. I must have gotten a dozen haircuts today. I loved playing barber shop.
We read Richard Scarry's Best Word Book Ever today. It was one of Mommy's books when she was a toddler. It has 1400 objects and I recognize most of them.
We made another megablock balance beam and I can still walk it most of the time without falling off.
Daddy came over after he got off work. He took Mommy and me to get Chinese take out for dinner. I ate some of everybody's food.
Bridget drove here from San Antonio after she got off work. She was happy to see me and I sure was glad to see her.
Barbara and I put on a show for everyone. We showed them how I play on my balance beam and car ramp/mountain, and how we play barber shop.
It was 10pm before I finally allowed myself to go to sleep. I sleep most every night all night long in my little toddler bed. A couple of times I have walked into Barbara's room and gotten in her bed but mostly I stay in my own little bed.

Mimz and I had to hurry this morning. Her alarm clock did not go off until 7:20 and we had to get to my 8:30am well-baby check up with Dr. Lacour.
I wanted to wear Mimz big sun bonnet in the car and the police car is one of my gifts from Mimz.
We made it to our appointment on time. Barbara was there with her camera.
I still remember what fun it was sitting up high on this unusual seat.
When they called my name the first thing we did was take my measurements.
My weight: 27 pounds (38 percentile)
My height: 34 1/4 inches (47 percentile) We are going to remeasure me. I was standing up when I was measured and I might not have been standing up nice and tall.
My head circumference: 49 1/2 cm (72 percentile) Which means my brain is still growing.
While waiting Mimz and I reviewed our list of questions for the doctor.
I played with the magnetic toys on the wall.
I was timid and a little unhappy at first, but it did not take me long to let Dr. Lacour do his job.
He said my heart was great.
All my body parts checked out just fine.
Mimz and Barbara asked him several questions.
For my Cradle Cap we need to get some Selsun Blue shampoo. Cradle Cap will come and go until I am 4 or 5 years old.
I have all 20 of my baby teeth. I was early getting my first teeth and am early getting all of my baby teeth in. I do not need to see a dentist until I am 4 or 5 unless some problem arises.
My little "knock knees" are okay. It is common and will correct itself.
My night sweats and my night twitches are also normal.
I am to start drinking 2 percent milk instead of whole milk.
I have sensitive skin and bugs love to bite me. My care keepers are to put a thin layer of Triamcinolone Acetonide Cream on my bites and scratches twice a day. Mommy and Barbara plans to do this when I fall asleep for my nap and at bedtime, so I will not try to rub it off.
And once in a while I need some help.... so the suggested help was Miralax.
My only real concern is that I am not talking. I should be saying about 50 words and I only say a couple. I jabber, but not real words. So Dr. Lacour is going to have me see a specialist. It may not be a problem, but we are going to check me out to make sure I am just a slow starter. I have heard that Albert Einstein was four years old before he started talking.
My next scheduled well-baby checkup is at age 3, so I hope I do not need to go see Dr. Lacour for another full year. I gave Dr. Lacour a "high 5" at the end of my checkup.
Mimz took me to school and I did not cry one bit. But I did have my very first bad report. It said "he pulled hair of other kids a lot today." My teachers said this is just something that two years sometimes do and they put me in Time Out. When my parents or Mimz or Barbara talk to me about it I seem remorseful, if a two-year-old can be remorseful.
I ate all of my sandwich because the crust was removed.
When Barbara came to pick me up I was sitting in a little car, similar to my little coup. The teachers were saying, "Okay, everyone, it is time for us to go inside. I listened to them and got out and started to walk towards the classroom, when I turned back around to shut the car door. I am a pretty conscientious little guy.
The rest of the day was pretty routine. Oh, I did help Mommy get out our Halloween decorations. We will decorate over the next few days. I wonder what I want to be for Halloween.....

Happy Second Birthday to ME!
I woke Mommy up early so she could wish me Happy Birthday!
Sending Mommy off to work. If I stay outside for ten minutes after Mommy leaves, I get to wave to the school bus driver as she drives her bus full of children off to school.
Bridget called me. I web cammed with GGM Avis and GGF John and Grandma. Mimz and Daddy texted me. Everybody remembered my birthday!
I had a bath early because of my itchiness!
I am starting to learn to pose for the camera.
I was told if I love Barbara to raise two hands! Guess who the photographer was?
The little chair I am sitting on belonged to Bill Huff, my first cousin twice removed. It must be at least 65 years old. I have a table and another chair to match. Barbara, Grandma, Mommy and her siblings all played on it.
I am holding a picture taken of me on my first birthday.
I love my squirrel.
I love my dog.
My coup was a birthday present from Grandma and Grandpa. My new fenced backyard was a present from GGM Avis and GGF John. They want me to be safely contained. Barbara is enjoying that gift more than I do! Daddy gave me a little computer.
Mimz gave me a big Tonka truck and three emergency vehicles. If it is a vehicle and has wheels, I love it! Mimz told me how my Daddy had a big Tonka truck when he was a boy.... I walked over to a picture hanging on the wall of my Daddy when he was a boy and pointed, to let Mimz know I knew who and what she was talking about. Would most two-year-old children make that connection? Probably, but my family thinks I am one especially special little boy.
Daddy got off work early today so he could pick me up around 2pm so he would spend a big part of the day with me.
Mimz made me some cupcakes and we took them to GGM Lil. She was very glad to see me but did not feel well enough to come out to eat with us.
My family party was held at Cluckers. Mimz, Daddy, Mommy, Aunt Kathy, Lyndsay, and her two children were there. I was a good boy, ate well, and played with some new toy vehicles. The only thing, I did not want to share my new toys. I think I will learn how to share, but at age two, I am still possessive of my things.
We had a BIG BIG dish of ice cream and brownies that we all shared. And they all sang Happy Birthday to me.

I cried while driving the last few blocks before getting to school, but I quit as soon as got in class.
Today we made a "frog" craft. Since Mimz likes frogs, I took it her home so she could have it.
I have been itching all over so I am getting baking soda baths which help but only for so long. Hope Dr. Lacour will be able to help us find a solution to my itching problem.
I dumped all of my stuffed animals out of this big tub and I just fit. Barbara rolled me around and I had to try to stay upright. We laughed a bunch playing this game.
It was a routine day, just playing all day, waiting for my Mommy to get home from work.

I woke up at 4:30am. Barbara got up with me and I finally decided I was still sleepy so I went back to bed at 6am for an hour.
I played outside with Maggie and of course I got some bug bites. I cannot be outside more than five minutes without something biting me. I had two baking soda baths today and some cream put on me to try to make me leave my bites alone.
I found another pretend blower.
PaPa will be so glad when I am a few years older so I can help him with the yard work.... and so will I!
My dad had curly blond hair as a boy.
(Sometimes Barbara cannot pick just one picture of me doing the same thing.)
I have a runny nose. Must be allergies. Grandma just starting having problems with allergies also.

It is Sunday and Mommy and Grandma wanted to sleep late, but I had other ideas. We all got up early and helped put some things in Grandma's car. She is taking some of her things to her home and somethings to Goodwill.
I am learning to descend the stairs by myself, not that I will be given the chance to.
Mommy just wants me to know how to get down the stairs, just in case I accidentally have the opportunity.
It rained yesterday so I have this big puddle to wade through.
Whereas yesterday was a very productive day, today was a complete day of rest. Mommy and I played in the big toy room and Barbara rested in her bedroom.

Well, today was a productive day. Grandma, Barbara, Mommy and I worked to gather more things to take to Bridget, things to give to Goodwill, and better organize things. Also Grandma started removing the carpet tack strip from the downstairs bathroom floor so we can get that floor tiled.
I needed a bath after all the hard work we all did today.
After my bath, I found Grandma doing some work on Barbara's computer...
... FLASH!
I would not lay down for a nap until 4pm and then I slept until 6pm. I woke up hungry and ate like a little bear. Then I wanted to drive something, I did not care whose car I drove just so I could get in some car. So Barbara pulled her car out of the garage and she sat in the car for an hour while I drove. We had to go inside when the OU football game came on. I watched some, but mostly I played or insisted on being read to. I sure love my books.
Mimz sent Barbara a funny text: "My Little Mason left me with a few Hide and Seek challenges this week. Where is Mimz's deodorant? Inside the plant watering can. Where is the back door key? In Mason's kitchen drawer. Where is the TV remote: In the kitchen pantry. Mason is so busy all the time it is hard to keep up with him and all the things he plays with. Sure do miss him when he is not around." I miss Mimz too!
