I was outside early this morning using my "blower" extermination toy.

Back inside I made music with my new tambourine.

Barbara said this was a red-letter day.  I do not know what that means but she was sure happy about it.

 First thing after eating breakfast I helped Barbara empty the waterfall pond so she could clean it before PaPa gets home on Friday. 

All we did was siphon the water into the yard so I put on my crocks so I could walk in the squashy grass. That made me happy!
I told Barbara to "hurry and get ready because Miss Janet was waiting for me at school."  That was the first time I had said anything like that.
Near our home is a railroad track that we have to cross everytime we drive to school.  Well, today we had to stop for a train.  That made me happy!  I asked Barbara to roll down my window so I could hear the loud train better. I got to see the black engine, flatbed cars, oil cars, and box cars.  But something was missing.... I said, "There is supposed to be a caboose.  Where is the caboose??"
We found ourselves behind a fire truck and we followed it all the way to one of the fire stations that we see on the trip to school.   That made me happy!
At school I said, "Sophia is here, that is her car."  Sophia is the littiest child in my class. 
I wore my backpack into school.  I was disappointed that Miss Janet was not there yet, so I went into Miss Kathy's class to wait for Miss Janet to get to school.
Before we got home from school I was asking for ice cream.  I got some as soon as Barbara could get it dipped into a bowl.
After my nap, Barbara took me to meet Mimz at the school.  I was happy to see her.  She had a stuffed dolphin for me that looked just like the one she took a picture of at Sea World.

Mimz bought me a toy sprayer.  It is a step up from the tube I have been using as a blower.

I was 33 months old on the 21st.  We forgot to measure and weigh me then so we did it today.
I measured 38.5 inches tall and weighed 32 pounds.  I haven't been gaining weight but I have been getting taller.  Maybe I will be tall and lean like Uncle Scott.
I played outside for maybe 15 minutes before and after Mommy left for work and I got several mosquito bites.  Barbara forgot to put repellant on me but she did put After Bite on and that did help.
I played nicely by myself for most of the morning.  I talked to myself while pushing trucks around and while working in my kithen.  I played "pirate" and "marching band."

We rarely have ice cream in the freezer but we do now and I ask for ice cream often.  I get it after I eat dinner or for snacks. 
I played "office" with Barbara.  I would color on paper, bring it to her to write on and then I would drive my tow truck to the post office to mail the picture.  Sometimes I would take a package also. 
Our neighbor Brad has been gone for several days and I ask often where he is.  Well, he came home last night and finally I saw him working in his yard.  I knocked on the window and he he got up and really waved to me.  He must have missed me also.
I head-butted Barbara today and she thinks she saw stars.  It made a little knot so she put an ice pack on her forehead and I helped hold it there.  I did not mean to hurt her.

I have been regressing in my "potty training."    I want to play instead of taking care of business.  When Mommy or Barbara try to explain that soon I can wear big boy pants, I say I love my "diapee" and don't want big boy pants.

 I was eating some carrot sticks, dipping them in some ketchup when I had an idea.... I decided to try to fingerpaint....

 ..so Barbara laid one of my washclothes down for me to paint on. 
When you see pictures of me without my shorts on, you know my Mommy was not there when the picture was taken. She is always telling Barbara to put shorts on me. Barbara doesn't mind her very well. She says it makes it easier to do potty training without dealing with shorts.
I don't care if I have on shorts or not, but I insist on wearing socks and maybe shoes. I changed socks four times today. I don't know why, I just wanted to.

Mimz, Morgan, and Kennedy and cousin Holly enjoyed a couple of days at Sea World in San Antonio.  They had a great time even though the temperature was 105.

When I saw this picture, I said, "Shark!"  Now I know it is a dolphin.

I spent a long time playing with Play Dough.  I cut a long piece of purple into small lengths.

I used a pen to punch holes in a pink rectangle.

On Bubble Guppies they had a marching band.  I decided two skillets would work for symbols.

I fixed dinner in my little kitchen.

Here I was waiting for Mommy to get home from work.

I have to do my outside playing early because the day time temperature is in the high 90s now.  I did more artwork on my driveway this morning.

Brad has not been home for several days, so I have been doing some sweeping on his side of the street.

When I finish I always say, "That was hard work."

Mommy and I went to the lake to visit Grandma.  Grandma and I played in the big swimming pool.  I practiced kicking.  (There are no picutures because Barbara was not there.)

I was awake before 6:30am so it was cool enough for me to eat breakfast and play outside.

  The first thing we did was draw a blue track on the driveway so I could play choo choo train. I sometimes strayed off the track. 

When I got tired of that I drove my tow truck all around the driveway.

I sure am glad Mimz remembers to send it over for me to play with.  We carried it inside for me to drive it around on the upstairs carpet.
A fun thing Barbara and I did today was play Keep Away with my little basketball.  I was laughing so hard I almost could not play the game.
Mommy, Barbara, and I played Hide and Seek. I tend to hide in the same place over and over.  I have not learned to find new places to hide.
A new thing I do is put my "thumb up" and say "Good job."
The little blisters I had on my left foot toes are healing but I can not leave them alone.  So I got to put a lot of Vaseoline on them to keep me from scratching them. 
ProLawn came today to mow and clean up the yard. I ran from window to window to watch them work and I did not quit until they were gone.
Mommy and I went over to Mimz house to get my tow truck charger but I did not get to see Mimz or Daddy because I was asleep in the car.  I woke up when we got to HEB.  I got to ride in a blue car grocery cart.  I got to hold Mommy's grocery list and help decide what to buy.  I got to eat a cookie, a small piece of pizza, and some cheese and salami.
I got two HEB buddie bucks to play in a slot machine and won 60 points.  I am getting close to winning a beach ball or maybe we will accummulate more points to get something else.
At home I was still being a big help.  I helped carry in groceries and helped put some things away.
I did not fall asleep for another nap after we got home.   I sat still for Barbara to read five books to me, but never came close to going to sleep.
A couple of times today I had problems with my attitude when I did not get my way.  I was sent to Time Out, which made me madder.  Hopefully I will soon learn it is more fun to listen and "be reasonable."  It may take some time.  I can be pretty stubborn.

Mommy gave me a bath with every bath toy I own.  There was hardly any room for me.

I can rinse my hair by putting my head under the faucet.

I fell asleep around 8pm.  Mommy knows I will be up early, so she said she was going to bed early also.

I ate like a little piggie today.  I had two small bowls of grits, some of Mommy's egg whites, and some cornbread.  I drove my tow truck around the deadend street looking for broken down cars to tow to the garage to be repaired.  I played with an umbrella.  I wanted to put it up and down, up and down, over and over.

While Barbara swept water towards the gutter.  I sweep up pine needles on the other side of the street.

I am not afraid of a little hard work.
I played in my wading pool a little but mainly I wanted to walk around with the hose getting everything wet.  When we were finished Barbara was gathering up all my water-play toys and told me she was doing that because ProLawn was going to come mow today.  Well, that turned out to be a mistake.  I kept asking all day long "when is ProLawn going to be here?"  They did not show up.

Upstairs I played with ny cardboard car ramp.

 I pushed every vehicle I own down that ramp a couple of times.

When I was finished I had to help fill two tubs with my car and trucks.

I got in this one tub and before Barbara could get a picture taken I fell over.
I practiced using my play scissors by making snakes out of Play Dough and cutting them into several small pieces.
I like drinking ice water from a cup.

I am 33 months old today.
When Mimz took me to school I got out of the car, put on my backpack and happily walked into to school.  Miss Janet was there but I still cried.  No one understands why I have started doing this.
I took a good nap for Mimz and when I woke up, I walked to the sofa, laid down and went back to sleep.  It was after 5pm when I did wake up, so Mommy stopped and picked me up on her way home from work. 
Mommy and I stopped to see Grandma at the scrapebooking place.  This was the first time I had been there and the ladies all said I was a cute as my pictures.  I was well behaved and a little shy
I have not been very good at catching a ball beause I close my eyes when the ball is headed my way.  I am starting to get better about keeping my eyes sort of open.  I just need a little more time and practice.
I am imaginative.  Today I pretended that Fireman Joe was going to get donuts and it was raining.  I often make up these little stories when I play.
I fell down once and said, "I am fine.  My feet just got mixed up."
Mommy and Barbara always keep the fortune cookies they get with Chinese take-out food for me in the sliverware drawer.  Sometimes I look in that drawer and see them and then I have them as a treat.

I finally have my appetite back.  I ate two bowls of grits, half a banana, and some egg white from Mommy's plate.

After waving bye to Mommy started my play by driving my tow truck around my dead-end street looking for broken down cars to tow to the garage.  When Barbara was getting too hot to stay outside, we moved to the backyard for water play.  I love squirting her and everything in site. 

Upstairs I played with the things in the big tub that are being saved for me "in the future."
Funny thing, if they were in my toy bins I probably would not be that interested in them.

... and I made something interesting.
Barbara and I read several books before I took a three hour nap. 
I ate a good lunch, but did not want a snack after I woke up.  Barbara suggested several things for me to eat and I would say, "No, I am fine," until she said donuts.   I could not believe that she had donuts.  I ate one and a half of the little white powered sugar donuts."
I had a super good day.  I did not go into Time Out at all.
Daddy picked me up and took me to see Mimz.  Mommy came over to Mimz after she got off work and she and Daddy took me to get some ice cream.  I had a vanilla shake.

When I woke up my mommy was sitting on the floor in my room watching me sleep.  She never gets tired of looking at me.

Barbara made me some fudgecicles with banana, peanut butter, chocolate syrup, and milk.

Yummy.  I took my shirt of to eat this because it is easier to wash off my tummy than it is to wash chocolate off a shirt.

Below is what Mimz wrote about me:

Mason called my name at 6:30 this morning so I thought he was awake. I picked him up and put him on the floor to change his diaper. He was saying play outside, where is daddy, eat, boots, but his eyes were closed. I realized he was still asleep. I changed his diaper and took him to the den. He continued to talk and sometimes his eyes would open but I could tell he wasn't fully awake. He put his head in my lap, grabbed his Monk Monk and went sound asleep until 8 o'clock. I just sat there and dozed a little too.
When he finally woke up we made cornbread for breakfast and he and Chris talked and enjoyed the cornbread. He didn't eat the entire muffin but more than he has been eating.  His nose runs off and on but seems to get stuffed up at night. We have been using the cool mist humidifier some and that seems to help.

Of course when it was time to leave he started making his list of things to take to Barbara. He is so funny. Kathy and Wendell got a big kick out of him saying things like, just joking, or just pretending. Kathy says the fact he understands those concepts is really unusual for his age. He had a great time over there on Sunday and really talked to GGM Lil more than he ever has, she was thrilled.
 We have been practicing saying the days of the week. He loves to learn!

Daddy brought me home to Barbara before going to work.  I insisted he bring my tow truck, cowboy hat, and of course, my cowboy boots.  First thing I did was drive my truck around our dead-end street. 

Then I mowed the yard with my stroller.  If you ask me what day Junior mows Mimz' yard I will say, "Friday." We have one low spot in the street where water stands, so Barbara often takes a rubber broom and swept the water down the gutter to the sewer.  I help by using my blower on whatever I want to blow.

I asked Barbara if she had some Jiffy cornbread mix (because last time I wanted some, she did not have any.)  She said yes, so we made some cornbread.   While it was cooking we opened a sack Mimz sent over with some of my things, like clothes and sippie cup, etc.  We found some Jiffy cornbread muffins and some chocolate chip cookies.  Oh, boy!  Barbara does not make me cookies.
At some point in the morning, I wondered where my new baby doll was.  I insisted it was in the sack Mimz sent over, but it wasn't there.  I was upset for a couple minutes, but as always I got over it.  When Barbara told Mimz, she said she did not hear my request to take the new baby doll.

I found a plastic tub behind the sofa in my toy room that contains things for me to play with "in the future."  I spent an hour back there playing with that stuff.  Barbara removed a few small things, like marbles, but she let me play with everything else.  Here I am blowing on a noise maker.

I can blow it with no hands.

After I nibbled at my lunch, I wanted to play in the bath tub, where I got very sleepy.  As soon as I was dry and we put on some lotion I fell asleep for over three hours.

When Mommy got home I played with water in the backyard.  I love to clean everything by spraying stuff with water from the hose.

Around 10am Daddy and I went to get Mimz to go to the cemetery to remember Pops and Mimz' father.
We met Aunt Kathy Uncle Wendell, Matt, Lyndsey, Beckett and Landry for lunch at a seafood place in Magnolia.  I at some gumbo with crackers and one bite of fish.  I fell asleep at the restaurant and slept until we got back to Kathy's house.   I was happy spending the day with Daddy, Mimz, and family.
Back at home I asked for a wiener and cheese.  I am still not eating as much as I normally do.

I slept until 8:30.  I still was not wanted to eat much but I was happy and playful.  Mimz took me to the park with some bread so we could feed the ducks.

 We took my stroller so I would not get too hot or tired.

 There were lots of ducks for us to feed.

We watched this big turtle.  I was glad we went to the park early because after we got home we heard thunder.

At 3:30am I woke up and upchucked, big time.  Of course, I cried and Mommy, Grandma, and Barbara all came to my rescue.  Mommy gave me a bath.  Grandma and Barbara cleaned up and started a load of laundry including Monk Monk. 
I was wide awake after all the hubbub, so Barbara and I played until 4:30 when I got sick again.  Again everyone was up cleaning me and the bedding.  I fell asleep soon afterwards.
I have only thrown-up one time before.  Barbara is very very glad of that.  She doesn't mind most things, but throw-up is not something she wants to deal with.
My only other symptom was diarrhea in the morning.  Maybe I had a stomach virus.  I was in a good mood and played normally.

 I have smashed my fireman's hat many times but we try to refresh it and I keep on playing with it.

I noticed that Monk Monk was clean and I said I was proud of him, because he was nice and clean.
I did start a nap at 12:30 because I was short-changed on my nights sleep.  I slept for over three hours.  I was hungry when I woke up and wanted Spaghetti-Os.  I started eating heartily and after several bites I decided I didn't want an more.  I did take the left-overs to Mimz' home.
My foot is not nearly as swollen as it was yesterday, so that problem is slowly resolving itself.
Barbara and I met Mimz at 5pm and I was ready to go wait with Mimz to see Daddy when he gets off work.
I sat on Daddy's lap and we watched a fireman's video with real fireman and trucks. 

I got to wear Big Boy underwear for the first time.  I had them on for over an hour and did not want to change into a diaper. 

June 14, Thursday
The good news is that when I woke up at 6:30 at Mimz home, my foot swelling had gone down so I could put on my boots.  That makes me very very happy.  I went to school happily but was unhappy that I had a substitute teacher.
After a short nap nap I woke up with a stuffy nose.  Mimz held me sitting up and I went back to sleep.  Allergies.

When I got back to Mommy's house I put Barbara to work playing trucks.  We drove around the pool table at least 20 times, maybe 50.  Each hole in the table is some place I want to drive to:  home, Mimz home, Mommy's work, Daddy's work, and PaPa's home at the lake.  I said one of the holes was where Mimz' worked.  Barbara told me Mimz was retired.  I came back saying, I was "just pretending."  I really do know what pretend means.
Another things that happens to our trucks on the pool table is they get stuck in mud.  I like to be the hero and come to the rescue in my blue pickup truck and push Barbara's or Mommy's truck out of the mud.  When I say "Stop" or "Go" they have to mind my commands.  I also tell them who to go visit.
If I start act up while playing this game, Barbara will quit playing with me and leave.  I soon say I am sorry and then I act right.
