I had a great morning with Daddy and Mimz. I woke up hungry and ready to play. I did cry while we were driving to school but I quit by the time I got to my classroom. I like school I just don't want my family to leave.
When Barbara came to pick my up from school, I was up high on a castle similar to the one in my backyard. I quickly climbed down when I heard my teacher call my name saying it was time for me to go home. Of course, I fell asleep on the 30 minute trip home.
I woke up when Barbara took me out of my car seat but I finished my nap on my mattress on the floor. I rolled off the mattress, but did not wake up since there were large pillows on either side of the mattress to catch me.
Hey, I like having a trampoline in my room!
The new gate was installed today. Now I cannot run away.
Mommy got home and I asked her to please let me out. She just smiled and joined me in the backyard. We loaded my old crib (which was also used by my mom, Uncle Andy, and Aunt Bridget) into the car and went to ToysRUs to turn it in and get a new toddler bed for me. That type of crib can not be sold any more. It is considered unsafe.
I drove this truck all over the store so Grandma bought it for me. I love vehicles!
This is some news about the heat wave our state has had this summer:
Texas just finished the hottest June through August on record for any state in the U.S.
Texas' 86.8 degree Fahrenheit average beat out Oklahoma's 85.2 degrees in 1934.
That Dust Bowl year is now third on the list for the three-month span, behind No. 2 Oklahoma's heat wave this June through August at 86.5 degrees.
Both states and others in the nation's southern tier have baked in triple-digit heat this summer.
Louisiana's heat this June through August puts it in the fourth spot all-time, 84.5 degrees.
