Mommy went to her best friends batchelorette party, a day at a spa, so Barbara took me to see my grandparents at the lake.
PaPa and I went to play on the sand. I have been shadowing PaPa all weekend.
Lake Conroe is maybe 10 feet below normal. Here PaPa and I are on a sand bar.I tried my hand at digging in the sand. The white bucket was to put trash in, but surprisingly the lake bed was very clean.
The house behind me is PaPa's home.
I put sand in my castle mold and PaPa packed it in the mold.We did get one little castle made...
...before we decided to go exploring.
This picture is of my shoe print.Ah, freedom.
Doing boy things, climbing on anything that is climbable.
Wonder what I am thinking about???
My grandparents are really very close to me, just out of the picture.
I have good balance.
That black thing is a tree stump. PaPa has reported it to the lake authorities. If they do not come remove it, he will get out his chain saw and tackle it himself.
Me with muddy fingers. My shoes are stuck in the wet sand.
PaPa and I are about 200 feet from the bulkhead. It is an awful situation, that we have had a terrible draught this summer. The City of Houston is taking water out of our lake to have it for their population.
Me just playing in the water.
Barbara wished she had a video of this. I was walking like a penguin......leaning from side to side.
PaPa found a clam and we were examining it.
Otter footprints.Time to end our fun in the sun and sand.
Papa's dock and boat... high and dry.
Papa and I sat outside and watched football ...
We played and laughed a lot. PaPa grilled us some pork chops for dinner.
