Keeping up the tradition, I sat on this seat in Dr. Lacour's waiting room. There were several tiny babies in the waiting room. I was the only talker and the mother's all smiled at my talking about the babies. I enjoyed watching the fish in the aquarium.
While waiting for the nurse to weigh me I played on this seat. My temperature was 98.7. My weight was 32.5 pounds. My height was 37 3/4 inches.
When in the exam room I played with the magnets on the wall. I made a train and a house.
Dr. Lacour checked my ears and said my ear infection was gone. The antibiotics worked. He also looked at my swollen foot. Monday evening I got two bites on my left foot while playing in the water in the backyard.
Tuesday my foot started to swell and this morning it was even more swollen. I've had this same problem with bites and swelling on my arm and on my face. Dr. Lacour said ant or mosquito bites release histamines which can cause swelling and blotchy red color.
He gave three suggestions:
1. Since I probably would not sit still for an ice pack, elevate my foot when I am sleeping.
2. Rub 1 percent Hydrocortizone on my foot to promote healing.
3. Give me 1 1/2 teaspoons Benadryl or rub on Benadryl cream to prevent itching.
The real catastrophe with this swollen foot is I can not put on my boots. I almost had a meltdown, but I got over it in time.
For only the second time in my life Barbara took me out to eat. We went to McDonald's to get me a Happy Meal, but when Barbara saw the price we discussed that we have chicken nuggets and milk at home, so we only bought me a small order of fries and a small chocolate shake. We had to run to the car because it was just starting to rain. After eating we read several books. It takes a long time to finish each book because besides reading the words we talk about what we see and what we think. And boy can I ask questions!
Picture of me playing with trucks inside my tent.
Daddy came to get me after he got off work. We went over to Mimz' to play and spend the night.
