Daddy brought me over to Barbara's early this morning. Mimz and Aunt Kaki had plans downtown to get a massage. This was a birthday gift from Pops to Mimz.
We thought Barbara and I would have to use flashlights to maneuver around the house because the electricity was off at Mommy's home and with the rain and cloud covered sky it was dark in the house.. But before Daddy got me there, it was back on. It is hard to fed and entertain a little kid without electricity.
I had a fun morning and was very well behaved. We read several of my favorite books, played Hide and Seek, and I pretended to be a pirate for a long time. I has been several days since I have been in Time Out at Mommy's home. I am beginning to realize that it is not worth acting up when it results with me having to sit with no toys and contemplate on my actions for two minutes. In just a few months that time will increase to three minutes. (In September I will be three years old.)
I played outside a few times when the rain would let up mainly just walking in water puddles in my crocks.
Sophie Wilson gave Mommy a haircut this evening so she gave me a little trim at the same time. Sophie said I was so well behaved, sitting still better than most adults.
I did not eat much for breakfast or lunch, but I made up for it at dinner, eating leftover fish and Chinese take out.
I played in the bathtub with Barbara watching me. Normally Mommy gives me my bath but tonight she was was busy packing for our trip to Vermont tomorrow.
I have to wait to see the new toys Mommy has for me to play with on the plane, except for my doctor's kit.
