When I was getting dressed I asked to put on my "old stapled sneakers." Barbara would have let me wear them, but Grandma was helping me. She and my mom insisted I wear my new shoes. They wanted me to look nice.
Here we go... ready to get in the car and head to the airport.
Arriving at the airport. I was ready to get this show into the air!
Andy, Kristan, and Bridget were supposed to fly here from San Antonio and be on our same flight. Their flight was delayed due to rain, so they were on a different flight, arriving in Boston a couple of hours behind us.
I was curious and looked at everything...
....I'm glad I have my friend Monk Monk with me.
I was getting tired while we waited to board. When they did announced it was time to board, Mommy, Monk Monk, and I got on first. Our flight was 15 minutes late leaving and I fell asleep while taxing and woke up soon after we were in the air. Mommy and I had two seats. PaPa was seating behind me and Grandma was in front of me. I was a great traveler the entire four hour trip. Well, I was great before and after the flight also. I did not cry, I did not talk too loud. I asked a lot of questions, like: "Why are we going backwards?" and "Are we there yet?" I used the potty three times, once on the plane and twice in the airport. It was after 3pm before I had a wet diaper. Everyone is proud of me. I ate all kinds of snacks on the plane: pretzels, graham crackers, a cookie, goldfish and animal crackers
I had lots of things to play with on the plane. I played doctor with Grandma. I put lots of band-aids on Monk Monk.
PaPa laughed at Monk Monk being covered in Band-aids.
I played with a etch-a-sketch toy, I colored, and I really enjoyed the sticker book Mommy brought.
I listened to _______ on my little headphones. After we landed I had some chicken tenders. After eating Mommy and I walked around the airport while PaPa went to get the rental van. Grandma sat waiting for Andy and his ladies. When we did meet up with Andy, Kristan, and Bridget I was shy at first, but quickly got passed that.Austin, Bridget holding me, Mommy, Elizabeth, Andy and Kristan at Dartmouth College.
It was a four hour drive to Newport, Vermont to Grammie and Bubba's cottage. Mommy said I could not have been better behaved. I did my share of talking. Everyone would laugh when I would put up my hands and say "Why?" or "I have an idea." PaPa bought me some Gatorade so I spent a lot of time drinking that in my sippie cup. I also slept a big part of the drive. Every time we got in a car on this trip I fell asleep.
I have been to four states: Texas, Oklahoma, Arkansas, and Missouri. Today I have added: Massachusetts and Vermont.
