Happy 88th Birthday, Great Grandpa John!  He worked at the library today.  He said everyone in the library knew it was his birthday and wished him a great day.  I am glad he is happy and healthy and still going strong!

Barbara made a mistake today... she read a text from Mimz to me at 11am saying Mimz would pick me up later in the afternoon.  Well, from then on it was, "Is Mimz coming now?"  Generally Barbara waits until just a few minutes before something is going to happen to tell me, so I don't expect it to happen very soon.

I have been "listening" to Barbara's made-up stories and want to hear the same ones over and over.  Well, finally today I let her tell me the "Three Little Pigs" and Goldilocks and the Three Bears."  I liked them, but I found them a little scary.  I guess we will go back to stories about my TV character friends since there is nothing scary about those stories.

Yesterday and this morning I did not want to eat much.  I even refused cornbread!  But I made up for it at lunch today.  I ate a bunch of chicken and noodles and peaches.  I ate almonds and Cheerios for snacks.  I was constipated yesterday and finally felt better this morning.  Maybe that is why I did not want to eat.

I spent about an hour in the bath tub.  Barbara kept adding warm water.  I splashed so much she kept her phone in the other room.  Oh, what fun.
Dressed after my bath, here I was waiting for Mimz to call.
 Hi!
I sneezed inside my shirt, to contain the germs.

While we waited we played "Let's Explore."  We walked around a room and talked about everything we saw.  Barbara told me the story behind things.  I asked a lot of questions.  Barbara's "junk" drawer was an intersting place to explore because it contained little odds and ends that I had not seen before.   A funny thing:  We found a couple of small toys Barbara had hidden away for an occasion when I deserved a treat.  HaHa.  They are now in my toy bin.

Another funny thing: On the wall in Barbara's room is Bridget's name in glitter.
It was made by her first grade teacher, Mrs. Crump, when Bridget was the author of the week.  Grandma has had it on the wall ever since then.  Bridget is now 24-years-old!  It is coming down for the upstairs painting project.  We asked Bridget if she wanted it.  She said, "No, thank you."  She is not sentimental like her mother.  Grandma said, "Just wait... one day Bridget will save her children's keepsakes."

I ran to hug Mimz when we met her at the school. I know how to keep my loved ones happy!   I had not had a nap, so Mimz had to keep me talking or listening so I did not fall asleep on the trip to her home.
Mr. and Mrs Finch gave me a birthday present: a digger!  Oh, how I love my vehicles!

This evening Daddy and I were playing fireman.  Mimz made a purchase yesterday that was supposed to be a Christmas present, but she just had to give it to me!
Oh, my!  It's official.  I am a fireman with all the gear.
Using my bullhorn to direct the fireman...
Using hose to put out the fire.......
Job well done!
Now, while Daddy and I were playing with my new fireman's suit, Mimz was at Target.  She found these boots and knew this would be the icing on the cake.  You know how I love boots!
Oh, man!  I may not be showing it, but I am bursting with joy over my new boots.  I wonder if I can wear this gear to bed?  Or at least have the boots by my bed in case a fire alarm goes off and I have to quickly jump out of bed and into my boots.
