As soon as my teeth were brushed, Mommy, Grandma, and I went out for breakfast and to Wal-Mart for a few groceries. Barbara chose to stay home and continue packing.
Today was the first time in several days that I have been in Time Out. I did not want to mind Mommy or Grandma, so that is what happens.
We did lots more packing and discarding of things today. Grandma gave away nine boxes of books. We had a small stack of things for Goodwill. There is still a lot more work to be done before we can have the upstairs painted but we will just keep working and one day soon it will happen.
We quit around 2pm because we were tired and it was also time to watch OU football.
I took a two hour nap and was asleep at 9pm.
Barbara and I wish we were in Bella Vista, AR at GGM Avis' home because my great great aunt Peggy Bates from Dallas and her son, Russ, from NYC, are visiting. They made a trip over to Oklahoma to visit the cemetery near Spavinaw where many of my ancestors are buried. They met two of my first cousin's twice removed for lunch.
Today GGM Lil was laid to rest in Texas City, Texas. Mimz said the services were a beautiful celebration of her life.
Below is her obituary in the Texas City newspaper:
