I enjoyed playing fireman. I would put on my new fireman's helmet, go into the backyard, and use the water hose (with real water coming out) to put out pretend fires. I would come back inside and announce that the fire was out and in just a few minutes there would be another fire alarm and I had to jump into action.
Barbara picked her first cousins Julie Dierks and Amy Luikey up at Hobby Airport and on the return trip they stopped at Mimz to get me. They came inside to met Daddy, Mimz, and me. I was shy for a few minutes, but soon I was showing them how I put out fires.
I also showed them how I am learning to ride my glider bike.
Mimz told them that when I first got my bike I could not even hold it upright.
Now I am much better at balancing it while I push with my feet. Daddy removed the glider bar until I am really good at balancing the bike.
I warmed up to Julie and Amy quickly. I think I thought of them as young playmates instead of adults because they are so fun-loving. I showed them my home including my bedroom and my toy room. They remembered my big bear Hastings when he sat in Barbara's dining room and was all decked out for different holidays. I wanted them to see my favorite television shows so I showed them the Pirate Jake, Caillou, and Bubble Guppies. We just watched the opening of each show, not the entire program.
Julie and Amy were sleepy, so they laid down and took a hour nap. I must have asked Barbara a dozen times if it was time for me to wake them. I so wanted them to play with me.

Amy and me hugging.
Me opening car door for Julie.
As the girls were leaving I was crying because I did not get to give Julie a hug. So they stopped the car and I ran to give Julie a hug.
Julie and Amy came to Houston to attend a lantern release honoring babies who are now little angels.
Julie's baby girl Hope is one of those angels.
To honor Hope...
Storm clouds were coming in and made the sky beautiful...
There were about 70 lanterns released. After the lantern release was over they came back to my home and said it was beautiful and very touching. They had a GPS devise so they did not need a map. Barbara needs to get one. She needs an iPad too. She promises that will happen soon.
We showed Amy and Julie how they can read Kindle books on their iPads and told them about web sites that offer free books including one for little children. They will like that because Julie's baby, Jackson is almost one year old and he will enjoy looking at the colored pictures and hearing the stories.Amy and Julie brought us some take-out food when they returned. When we finished eating, I did the clean up, gathered up all the trash. They were impressed with how helpful I am. They said I am adorable and they wish they could take me back to Tulsa with them. I do like them, but I think I would cry if I left my family behind.
